Something about parenting: It's never enough to say "Well many other kids go through (whatever) and come out ok" Particularly when the pressures on parents and children are relatively more. Outr expectaions as parents, for our lives are high. There ias wprk pressure, and children have a pressured school life. The shorthand of looking at the general experience of children from single parent homes for example, short changes the individula child. a bit of personal research, speaking to other parents, thinking, trying different ways of doing things and keeping an eye on the results . .keeping an eye on the childs welfare . . there is really no subsitute for this approach.
